Cruisin' Grand August 2011 Newsletter

Hello again everyone and thanks for your support of Cruisin' Grand ® , Southern California’s most popular weekly cruise.

Those of you have joining us on Friday nights throughout July know that Cruisin’ Grand has really hit its stride once again. We have had fantastic crowds and some really wild cars visit our cruise. Thanks to all of you for your support.

However, none of this would have been possible without our sponsors. We would like to thank the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, O’Reilly Auto Parts and the Escondido Auto Park for being our major sponsors for the 2011 season. We urge everyone to take a look at who sponsors Cruisin’ Grand and to thank them every time you patronize their businesses. (Our Sponsors)

Here is a brief recap of our most recent events:

July 15th Our host club was the Heartbeat Classic Chevys Club who brought out some extremely nice cars for all to enjoy. We thank them for their support and also for their unexpected donation of a vintage working traffic light that we will be raffling off to raise money for Cruisin’ Grand. Come check it out at our booth at Grand and Broadway.

July 22nd South Broadway was absolutely packed thanks to the Pantera and Shelby clubs. South Broadway was packed with over 70 cars including over 20 Panteras making this a fantastic show.

The word has it that we had six real 1965 Cobras on display at one time which hasn’t happened for years. We need to thank Bret Gann and Peter DeSilva for their help in putting this night together.

July 29th South Broadway was once again full of hot rods and muscle cars thanks to the Poway Cruisers who brought out over 30 cars for the public to enjoy. We need to thank this club again for all their continued support over the years and remember their significant donation at our fundraiser this past spring.

North Broadway was filled with cars from Best of Show Coach Works. Dick Kvamme was there with many of his creations that were all crowd pleasers including several LS motor Camaro’s. Dick has been a longtime supporter of Cruisin Grand and we would like to thank him for his efforts year to year.

Upcoming Nights Not to Miss

August has some very good nights coming up and we ask you to share this schedule with your friends and families and clubs.

August 12th The Axle Draggers will be back at Cruisin’ Grand with over 80 hot rod and customs. (Hey, maybe Steve will bring his car out !) Even without Steve they will have an unequalled collection of exotic customs and old-school rod rods.

August 19th The Cadillac and de Salle Clubs will join us on Broadway along with America’s first hot rod club “The Prowlers”.

August 26th Come join the Woodie and Thunderbird Clubs along with a great selection of Sprint Cars. We expect this to be a huge night with something for everyone.

Coming this September

We think it’s only fair to warn everyone that every week in September will be like a “Grand Finale” with five great weeks including Fire Truck Night, Packard and Pierce Arrow Night and Nitro Night among others.

We won’t go into details until next month but trust us,
2011 will be the best September in the history of Cruisin” Grand.

New Website

If you haven’t taken a peak at our website lately, get ready for a change. We will be launching our new website in the near future, which will have a lot more features, including a place to buy and sell cars and parts, faster download speed and on-line shopping for you out-of-towners.

Thanks again to all our sponsors
